I once heard in the newspaper that this Kevin Smith guy died. Then it turned out to be a Kevin Smith that wasn't famous. As for famous I have heard of a Kevin Smith that made these movies called Clerks and Chasing Amy but not this Dogma or Mallrats and who the hell are Jay and Silent Bill anyway.

Ok, thee was a Kevin Tod Smith who played the God of War on Xena and Hercules who died in 2002. Then there is this other Kevin Smith guy who I have never heard of. He apparently directed like five films, had a short-lived TV show on ABC and has a new movie out in the spring.
