Wow. That was a strange story, funny as all hell, but strange. Like In the Bedroom, or American Beauty, but with ugly people. Thought it was funny how when Walt is about to get into a deep and involved analysis about some hockey game he has to shit and we can get to the real story. It felt almost scripted.
This is nothing compared to the episode where Malcolm and Kev converse on all sorts of glass shards in assholes and sexual perversions though.

All the X-Men movies suck’d.
Wolverine: Orgins was descent for the first 30 to 45 mintues; and then it too drops off into the abyss of suckdom.
Jackman is TOO TALL to be believable as Logan.
X-Men has always been one of my favorite books. I really enjoy a lot of Jackman’s films.
As for Origins. The writing was lazy. Too much poetic license was taken. There wasn’t enough blood. Walt’s kids weren’t adversely effected by the film, b/’c children are the target demographic. A badass telling would have had some hardcore fuck scene and so many decapitations that the viewer(s) loses count.
Character development was nearly non-existent in some cases. Which is ironic, considering that the film’s title is ORIGINS. The whole industry is becoming so watered-down. It’s really sickening.
That was what made your better films so great, Kev. YOU took chances.
Punisher attempted to be that filmmaking/cinematography got too sloppy. then they just slap on that Disneyland ending. Really disappointing.

All I hear is the usual bitching about another “superhero” movie and how it could better by all the armchair directors out there who have never done anything aside from read a comic book. If this is another movie where “Clearly there was more than one target demographic (for Wolverine) and they ended up missing all the targets completely” then why did it do so well on the opening weekend as many of these films tend to do.
All the film reviewers should wake up and pay attention that nobody gives a damn what they think and the reviews that they give have less and less impact on the publics film choices. Time for the “professional” movie reviewer to go out and get a real job.

I am kind of shocked on the haggling thing.
I thought everyone knew- or at least had heard that you can haggle Home Depot. At the very least you can get them to give you 10% off for putting it on their credit card even if they are not running a specific promotion.
The swimming pool should have been easy to haggle. Step one is to get rid of the family. You cant have them trailing you. Step two is talk to the owner or manager. The about the pool it self there is so much to negoiate. Can you lower the price? how about delivery? can you get a better deal on the install? Maybe they will throw in a year of chemicals to close the deal.
At the very least be ready to walk. Take the guy’s card or give him your number and he’ll probably stop you before you walk out rather than have you talk to a competitor. Good talk to other people. The worst that can happen is that you’ll spend a couple of hours and convince yourself that your werent being taken. The upside is maybe you save 20%-30%.
BTW- if all else fails Walt could have gotten a discount for cash. 5% is common, so maybe save $250.

Saw a couple of posts about the delay between posting smod here and when it hits iTunes.
It was addressed a while ago in one of the episodes.
It was a problem with the server.
Since the show is, and has gotten, so popular it crashes the server if it’s posted both places at the same time. Just too many downloads. Staggering it eases the problem.
I think they made a joke that it was either do it this way or stop doing it.
Look at it this way, the delay means a lot of people are listening. And if a lot of people listen, it means they’ll keep making them.

I think the problem people have is Podcasts vs. regular tracks don’t work properly in Playlists. If I have podcasts and regular tracks in a playlist, it skips the podcasts. So having iTunes recognize them all as the same would be a benefit
